This page explains who owns what on sanue.com, what you are free to do with it, and how to tell us if you believe something here infringes your rights. It is written to be usable rather than to be intimidating, because most of the messages we get about copyright are from people who simply want a photograph swapped or a credit corrected.
What belongs to us
The written content of this site is ours. That means the text of every product write up, the explanatory articles, the category descriptions, the wording of these policy pages, and the selection, arrangement and structure of the catalog as a whole. It is protected by copyright, and the fact that it summarizes publicly available label information does not put the summary itself in the public domain. The site name and its presentation are ours as well.
What belongs to somebody else
A great deal of what appears on this site does not belong to us, and we do not claim it. Product photographs, packaging artwork, label text, ingredient statements, directions for use, safety warnings, brand names, logos and product names remain the property of the manufacturers, brand owners and retailers who created them. They appear here for one purpose, which is to identify and describe the specific products being discussed so that a reader can recognize the item on a shelf and check our description against the real thing.
Using a brand name or showing a product image is not a claim of ownership, and it does not imply that the brand endorses, sponsors, approves or is otherwise connected with this site. Where we quote label language, we quote it because the exact wording matters, particularly for warnings, active ingredients and stated contact times, where paraphrasing would make the information less safe rather than more readable. Our About page describes how those sources are used.
What you may do with our content
You may read the site, print a page for your own use, and share a link to any page anywhere you like. You may quote a short passage in an article, a forum post or a video as long as you attribute it to Sanue and link to the page you took it from. Teachers and students may use pages in coursework with attribution.
What you may not do is republish a write up in whole or in substantial part on another site, rewrite one lightly and publish it as original, extract the catalog by automated scraping, or use our content in a commercial product without written permission. If you want to do something that falls outside the short list above, ask first. Permission is often given, and it costs nothing to request it.
Takedown and correction requests
If you own rights in material that appears on this site and you want it removed or credited differently, send a notice through the contact form. It is the fastest route and it reaches the person who can act on it. To let us deal with it in one pass rather than several, include the exact address of the page where the material appears, a description of the material itself so we can identify it on the page, an explanation of the right you hold and how it is being infringed, your name and a way to reply to you, and a statement that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for them.
We aim to acknowledge a complete notice within a few working days and to act on a valid one promptly, which usually means removing or replacing the material while we look into it. That is a target rather than a guarantee. The same route works for a factual correction, a request to update an image to current packaging, or a manufacturer asking us to reflect a reformulation. We would rather fix a page than argue about it.
